Greetings Sewing Members!
I would like to inform you of some upcoming sewing workshops. All three will be held at Open Door Fellowship in Kouts, Indiana this summer.
May 31, 2023 (8:30-12) – How to read and use a simple pattern-This workshop is for newer sewists. We will talk about cutting out pattern pieces, sewing terminology, and following the pattern’s directions. Each attendee will make a pair of elastic waistband shorts. Please bring 1 1/4 – 1 1/2 yards of woven material, nonrollable elastic, matching thread, your sewing machine, sewing kit, and an extension cord. I will have a simple shorts pattern available that you may use. You also may bring your own if you find a simple pattern that you like.
June 14 and 21 (8-2) – Come Sew or Get Assistance – These workshops are for all sewing members. You can come work on your project the whole day. Bring a sack lunch. You can also work for an hour or two, or just stop by for advice on some aspect of your project. Bring your questions and everything you need for what you want to accomplish!
Please let me know if you have any questions.
