Announcing a partnership between Indiana 4-H and Purdue Online! Starting now, any youth in grades 7-12 (and in any state!) can participate in the Advanced Electric Online course geared specifically to teach youth advanced electric skills in an interactive, virtual format. 4-H members in Level 5 Electric are also highly encouraged to enroll! This course opens the door to various electrical career avenues and job outlooks, electrical safety and equipment, 3 phase and 208 voltage, balancing loads on circuits, and much more!! By participating, youth will get a taste of advanced-level electrical applications and be encouraged to learn more about electricity! Both 4-H and non- 4-H members are encouraged to enroll. Youth will have 6 months from the time of enrollment to complete the modules. At that time, they may re-enroll in the course. Modules will continue to be developed and added to the course.
Even better, the first 100 participants to complete one module of the online 4-H electric course at purdue.ag/4helectriccourse will receive a special 4-H surprise in the mail! For a limited time, those who complete the entire course will receive an AC circuit tester and will be entered in a drawing to receive a Smart Science IoT kit with 13 sensors and a Micro:bit! Don’t be afraid to share this with colleagues in schools and youth organizations, as this curriculum is made for any youth in 7-12 grade.
