Wow, what a fantastic turn out for the Sheep Carcass Royale class this year. Eleven 4-Hers are enrolled in the class.
Royale lambs will cost $350.00. Please make checks payable to Pat Haman. One change is the lambs will be picked up at the Haman residence (219 E. 900 S. Kouts, IN 46347) on April 30th at 9:00am. Animals will also need to participate in Sheep ID Day on May 7. If you have questions, please contact Superintendent Dan Johnson at 312-273-0094.
Due to the number of lambs participating in the Royale and regular carcass classes the lambs will be taken to Simms Meats in Kingsbury, Indiana for processing and judging. Special thanks to Craig Simms for supporting the program and enabling all 4-Hers to participate. I also want to take a moment and thank Hanford Packing for their years of hosting the sheep carcass program and Celebration sale. (Note: cattle and hogs will still go to Hanford)
