Saying farewell after 20 wonderful years

A note from our 4-H Youth Development Extension Educator…

Dear Porter County 4-H Community:

It’s with mixed emotions that I share that on February 12th I will celebrate 20 years with Purdue Extension as the Porter County 4-H Educator… and my final day with Purdue Extension will be on February 17th.

This has not been an easy decision, as I have truly enjoyed my 20 years here in Porter County 4-H. I have been fortunate enough to see the next generation of 4-Hers getting involved as 4-H alums come back and introduce me to their kids! I am grateful for the friends I’ve made, the lives I’ve touched, and the fun I have had with you in Porter County. However, after long hours of consideration, the time has come for me to move on to my next chapter.

The Porter County 4-H Program and its members, alumni, volunteers, and friends will continue to hold a special place in my heart! And I’m confident that with the dedicated 4-H volunteers of Porter County, the awesome office staff, and the understanding families, you will all have a wonderful 4-H year this year!

Sincerely,
Joan
