YQCA is required for 4-Hers exhibiting Beef, Dairy, Swine, Sheep, Goats, Poultry, and/or Rabbits. There is no “deadline” for completing your YQCA for Porter County 4-H, but prior to the fair, a certification list will be generated and you must be on that list in order to exhibit at the fair, so shoot to get it done by July!
If you attended an in-person session, be sure to register your participation according to the instructions you received at the workshop (also downloadable below). Many of you have not yet completed this step. When you initially register at www.yqcaprogram.org, you will be asked to complete a brief pre-survey. Once that survey is complete, you show up on the trainer side of the program, where you will be marked complete if you attended one of our classes. Once that has been done on our end, you can log back in and complete a post-program survey and access your certificate.
If you have not yet been certified for the year, no in-person sessions remain. You can complete the YQCA course online. Details at https://bit.ly/2022PorterCoYQCA. Complete your certification as soon as possible. Prior to the fair, a certification list will be generated and you must be on that list in order to exhibit at the fair.
