Center Wildcats 4-H Meeting Report

On October 14, 2021, The Center Wildcats met at the Porter County Expo Center for our first in person meeting since March of 2020.   After the pledges, we did role call.   Everyone took turns saying their name and their favorite 4-H project.   Next, we had all of the officers reports.

We talked about Community Service Projects.  Mrs. Hewlett leaves kits on her front porch for members to pick up and complete.  Right now we are working on making birthday and thinking of you cards for the Golden Living Nursing Home.  We are also making bookmarks for the Valparaiso Library and writing thank you notes to local veterans.

A motion was made and passed to send $50 to the Indiana 4-H Foundation.    Mrs. Hewlett discussed how to keep track of 4-H achievement records.  We also talked about fire safety with bonfires and healthy eating habits.

The meeting ended with a round of Simon Says before we adjourned.   The next meeting will be November 11th at Expo East.
