Animal ID Information- DUE MAY 15

Species Included in online animal ID: Beef (Including Dairy Feeder Steers), Dairy Cattle, Goat, Horse (Including Draft & Miniature Equine), Rabbit, Sheep, and Swine.

Cats, Dogs, and Pigeons will submit Id form to 4-H Extension office by mail or stop by:

Purdue Extension, Porter County, 155 Indiana Ave, Suite 301, Valparaiso, In 46383

Poultry- Chickens, Game Birds, Turkeys, Waterfowl, do not need anything done by May 15.

Members of these projects will be receiving information in the mail soon. That information is also available to download below. It is the responsibility of the 4-H families to enter the required information into the online system (or submit on paper if applicable) by May 15th. This deadline is strictly enforced with a zero-tolerance policy for lateness. Missing the deadline will result in not exhibiting at the county or state fair.

Animal ID Days – Dairy Feeder Steer, Goat, Sheep

For those who participate in an ID Day (members of Dairy Feeder Steer, Goat, & Sheep), you will receive a copy of the Indiana 4-H Livestock ID Worksheet – please complete the top of the worksheet and bring it with you (this form is also available to you below. Your project volunteers will record the information gathered at ID day so that you can take the information home with you and enter the information into 4HOnline.)

  • Goat ID Day: Fri., May 2nd, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Sheep/Goat Barn
  • Sheep ID Day: Sat., May 10th, 8:00-10:00 a.m. at the Sheep/Goat Barn
  • Dairy Feeder Steer ID Day: Sat., May 10th, 8:30-10:30 a.m. at the Cattle Barn
