Next Chapter programming is available to all 7th through 11th grade youth in Indiana via virtual programming beginning March 24. Youth do not have to be enrolled 4-H members but do need to register and choose the “participant” role at https://Chapter1.4honline.com These four Mondays represent Chapter 1 of the curriculum. Remaining Chapters will be available in the future.
Monday, March 24: My Personal and Career Goals will introduce SMART goals and have youth design their own vision board.
Monday, March 31: Discovering Careers for Me will introduce various career exploration tools, including the Indiana Career Explorer. We will be joined by a guest speaker who will share information and answer questions about currently hot jobs in Indiana.
Monday, April 7: Networking Skills will introduce youth to the importance of building a network of career focused contacts. We will be joined by a guest speaker to share tricks of the trade.
Monday, April 14: Service Learning will discuss how designing and implementing good works in your community not only supports your friends and neighbors but builds your own employability skills. A service learning project will be planned and a date set to implement in person in May or June.
