A Fashion Career Workshop will be given by Briana Harper and Jada Jenkins on March 1. Briana is a ten year sewing member and has pursued a degree/career in fashion. Come and learn about fashion as a career option as she and her friend, Jada, share their experience and expertise from 1-2 at the Valparaiso Public Library in Meeting Room B!
An introduction to sewing workshop will be held on March 17th at the Valparaiso Public Library Meeting Room B from 4:30 – 6. Please bring your sewing machine, sewing kit (thread, scissors, pins, etc), extension cord, and any questions you might have. We will be talking about project requirements and the basics of machine operation. Beginning sewists will also have the opportunity to complete a simple sewing craft to take home with them.
On Saturday, April 5 from 9:30-11 at the Valparaiso Public Library in Meeting Room B 9:30-11, come ask questions and learn from a 4H Sewing Construction Judge. This workshop is for all ages and levels of experience. I will be sharing a Google form prior to the workshop for your input into what topics you would like to learn more about. This is for you, so please reach out with your questions.
Please RSVP at least two days prior to each workshop. I look forward to seeing you then! Any 4H member that wants to learn more about sewing is welcome to attend. You do not have to be enrolled in the project.
Sincerely,
Lara Werner
