January 9, 2025 Center Wildcats 4-H Club Meeting Report

It is 2025, and that means a new 4-H year! It is time to sign up for 4-H (deadline: January 15th!) and select projects. The Center Wildcats gathered at the 4-H Exhibit Hall where members worked on Valentine’s cards for senior friends. Front porch community service kits are also available from Mrs. Hewlett’s house. The Club celebrated members with outstanding meeting attendance and the achievement of community service goals in 2024, including: creating 575 Christmas bookmarks for the Valparaiso Library; decorating 182 lunch bags for recipients of Meals on Wheels; and collecting 304 food items plus cash donations to supply Thanksgiving dinners for military veterans. Several club members practiced their public speaking skills by showcasing a Mini 4-H project and giving surprise speeches. The next meeting will be the club’s Valentine’s party where we collect food donations for Hilltop House Food Pantry. See you on February 13, 2025 at the 4-H Exhibit Hall!
