A dairy steer workshop will be held on June 12th, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. The Porter County Dairy project along with the Joe Rudolph family will be hosting a workshop with Indiana Dairy Beef Ambassador Ryan Hester. Ryan will talk about the Indiana Dairy Beef Association: what it is, what impact it has on the industry and how we can be part of it. He will also go over the options for State Fair and open shows and what it entails and how it helps in our learning process. Ryan will also give instruction and a demonstration on fitting an animal for show and do a brief showmanship exercise and how to. We are super excited to have somebody that is local (Hester is from LaPorte County) that is making a positive impact in the industry and is willing to share their information.
