On April 11, 2024, the Center Wildcats met at the 4-H Exhibit Hall. The gathering kicked off with making lunch bags for Meals on Wheels. Members opened the meeting with the pledges. Two club members did demonstration speeches to practice their public speaking skills. Community service sessions are being held on Saturdays at Mrs. Hewlett’s house. These sessions are currently focused on: making felt puppets for the library; sewing pillowcases for pediatric patients; and, preparing for the club garage sale (June 14 & 15). Community service can also be done by picking up a front porch kit. Right now we are working on making “thinking of you” cards for nursing home residents, Meals on Wheels lunch bags, and library bookmarks. The club closed the meeting with BINGO! The next meeting will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at the 4-H Exhibit Hall.
