On January 11, 2024, the Center Wildcats met at the 4-H Exhibit Hall. The gathering kicked off with making Valentine’s for residents at the Brickyard Nursing Home. Members opened the meeting with the pledges. The Superintendent of Container Gardening, Cyndi Morgan, gave a presentation about the project and gave ideas for exhibits. She mentioned that the project doesn’t require much space and you can grow vegetables or flowers. Several club members did surprise speeches to practice their public speaking skills. Community service sessions are being held on Saturdays at Mrs. Hewlett’s house or can be done by picking up a front porch kit. She will let club members know when kits are available. Right now we are working on making Valentine cards for nursing home residents, Meals on Wheels lunch bags, library bookmarks, and placemats for hospice patients. The next meeting will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at the 4-H Exhibit Hall.
